2010-04-01 Jinshanling to Simatai Great Wall

This was my first experience on The Great Wall. It was a ten kilometer hike from Jinshanling to Simatai. It's a very popular route, though not as popular as some other parts of The Great Wall. Once I got ahead of my group, I had the wall pretty much to myself. I could have easily hiked alone for the rest of the day, but I stopped to take photos and enjoy the company of some friends I made along the way.
